01 Overview
Plavyn is a drawing and site-plan management app built for construction teams — developers, contractors, architects, structural and MEP consultants, and everyone else on a project's roster. This policy explains what information Plavyn collects when you use the app, why it's collected, and — just as importantly — what Plavyn deliberately keeps on your device and never sees at all.
This policy applies to the Plavyn iOS app. It doesn't apply to any other product or website.
02 Information We Collect
Account information
When you create an account, we collect the fields on the sign-up form: first name, last name, initials, company name, email address, location, and your role (Developer, Contractor, Architect, Structural, MEP, Infrastructure, Landscape, or Other). Your password is handled entirely by our authentication provider — Plavyn never sees or stores it in plain text.
Project and team content
Projects you create — name, city, state, RERA number, project type, and dates — are stored on our servers so they sync to your account and, once you invite people, to your team. If you invite a team member, we store the roster entry you fill in for them (name, email, company, role).
Drawings, IdeaBook, and custom brushes
Drawing files, annotations, diary entries, whiteboard sketches, and custom brushes are stored locally on your device. Plavyn does not upload or transmit this content to our servers. If you back up your device to iCloud, Google Drive, or OneDrive through iOS's own Files app, that backup is between you and your storage provider — Plavyn is not involved and never receives a copy.
Usage data
We log a small set of product-usage events tied to your account: signing up, logging in, session length, creating a project, uploading or annotating a drawing, inviting a team member, and adding a schedule task. We use this only to understand how the app is actually used — it's never sold, shared with advertisers, or connected to any tracking network.
What we don't collect
- No GPS or device location — the "Location" field on your profile is text you type, not a device permission.
- No camera access.
- No advertising or third-party analytics SDKs.
- No tracking across other apps or websites.
03 How We Use It
- To operate the core features of the app — projects, team rosters, and syncing your account across your own devices.
- To make team collaboration work — so a teammate can see who uploaded or annotated a drawing, or who a schedule item is assigned to.
- To understand product usage and improve Plavyn over time.
- To respond if you contact us for support.
04 Where Your Data Lives
Account, project, and team-roster data is stored with Supabase, our database and infrastructure provider, and protected by row-level access rules — a project's data is only reachable by its owner and the people invited to that specific project's team, never by other Plavyn users.
Drawing files, IdeaBook entries, whiteboard sessions, and custom brushes are not part of this — see Section 02. That content lives on your device and, if you choose, in your own personal cloud backup.
06 Security
Passwords are hashed and managed entirely by our authentication provider — Plavyn's own code never handles a plain-text password beyond the moment you type it into the login form, sent over an encrypted connection. Project data is scoped so that only people on a project's team can read or write it.
No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security — but this is the standard we build to.
07 Your Rights
You can review and update your profile information at any time from the Account screen in the app. You can also permanently delete your account from that same screen — this removes your profile and every project you own, along with everything under those projects. It's a real deletion, not a deactivation, and it can't be undone.
08 Retention & Deletion
We keep your account and project data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account (see Section 07), that data is permanently removed from our servers. Content that only ever lived on your device — drawings, IdeaBook, custom brushes — is governed by however you manage storage and backups on that device, not by us.
09 Children's Privacy
Plavyn is a professional tool for construction industry teams and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
10 Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update the effective date at the top of this sheet and, where the change is material, make a reasonable effort to let you know inside the app.
